With 2018 one week down already, how many of us are sticking to our new year resolutions?
Speaking of resolutions, gone are the days when we would list down our resolutions in diaries and have them measured after a certain period of time. As of today, thanks to our smartphones and tablets we have the option of listing them down on our phone memos or other note writing apps like ‘Evernote’ & ‘Simplenote.’
In present era not only can we list our resolutions/goals on our phones, but also tap into the apps on our smartphones in order to accomplish & measure our resolutions for the year.
Below are some of the apps that can help us reach our respective goals.

You can either scan the barcodes of various food items or manually add them in the database of over five million different foods. It works in conjunction with over 50 devices and apps; Fitbit and Garmin wearable devices users can synchronize their health data to third-party devices for easier mobility. You have the option of testing out of several sections at once if you’re familiar with the language, and Duolingo will adapt the questions based on how well you do. (Available on IOS & Google playstore).
- Explore new exotic locations? ‘Skyscanner’ has got you covered. The app searches for the most affordable and best options via its travel partners. If you’re not sure where exactly you want to go, Skyscanner offers a category that lets you explore ‘top deals’ from your nearest airport, as well as a curated list of destinations at affordable prices. (Available on IOS & Google playstore).
- Looking to acquire sound mental skills? Get ‘Lumosity.’ This popular app is split into sessions of three games tailored to your goals: memory, attention, problem solving, processing speed or flexibility of thinking.
